So the media around the world is going crazy about President Trump’s ‘Islamophobic Muslim ban’. This is rubbish. The ban is a 120 day ban on immigrants from nations which have the highest proportion of Islamic terrorism, and the person who decided which countries are the most dangerous was Ex-president Obama.
‘[T]he same seven countries were singled out by President Barack Obama’s administration for special security precautions. The choice was his, not Trump’s, and no one in the media complained:
“The President Obama Department of Homeland Security already targeted those seven listed countries for the past several years as nations of concern.
In February of 2016 the Department of Homeland Security announced that was continuing its implementation of the Visa Waiver Program Improvement and Terrorist Travel Prevention Act of 2015 with the addition of Libya, Somalia, and Yemen as three countries of additional concern.”‘
‘”Muslim ban” hypocrisy: Left quiet when Obama also halted visas’:
The actual executive-order reduces immigration in general and offers a 120 day ban on those branded by Obama as the worst and most dangerous to the USA. This ban is in order to set up vetting systems to deal with those refugees when the ban is lifted.
‘First, the order temporarily halts refugee admissions for 120 days to improve the vetting process, then caps refugee admissions at 50,000 per year. Outrageous, right? Not so fast. Before 2016, when Obama dramatically ramped up refugee admissions, Trump’s 50,000 stands roughly in between a typical year of refugee admissions in George W. Bush’s two terms and a typical year in Obama’s two terms.’

The UK responded to this in the typically damaged left-wing way. Stating that President Donald Trump should be banned from visiting with his official state-based visit later this year to Britain. What was the reason they gave on the petition which now stands at 850,000+ signatures? ‘[H]e should not be invited to make an official State Visit because it would cause embarrassment to Her Majesty the Queen.’ I’m unsure how this makes any sense, unless President Trump is not a fan of tea, or he puts milk in before the water when he does make tea…the monster.

While one of the other reactions was that of stating that the ban is undemocratic, which ignores that he was voted in in-order to make choices such as this. Also, it ignores that the majority supports his choice and ban, which by definition means it is democratic.
‘When asked “do you agree or disagree with the executive order that President Trump signed blocking refugees and banning people from seven Muslim majority countries from entering the U.S.?”, 49 per cent of respondents said they agreed with the policy.
Do you agree or disagree with the Executive Order that President Trump signed blocking refugees and banning people from seven Muslim majority countries from entering the U.S.?
This compares to 41 per cent who said that they disagreed with the policy, while the remaining 10 per cent did not know whether they agreed or disagreed.’
