Writing my heart on this page below.
Hoping my words are able to flow.
From one person to another.
For kindness isn’t restricted to the lover.
I can’t ask anyone to return me home.
Surrounded by others but yet feeling alone.
Yes, even our sweetest promises can sour.
Long past will come our love’s hour.
Don’t forgive me for my conclusion,
No longer willingly protect myself with delusion.
Loneliness is not a thing unfelt by the strong,
But a slow flowing poison that takes far too long.
Don’t ask me “Who is the one?”
For my days are early and barely begun.
Every morning can welcome you with a kiss.
You don’t need to belong to anyone to feel like this.
