Stood at the window I see my reflection,
No longer the nightgown do I wear.
Now Summer has come the frost has gone.
The corporeal fell away but still I am here.
My love has stayed and completed my transition,
From flesh to spirit, the other me sleeps like stone.

*A continuation of Douglas Dunn’s (1942) poem France.*
