One angel, one demon,
Approached me by halves of day.
One by the sun flew and come
Delivering me to a land of icy way,
Speaking to me of the dangers of vice:
How evil erupts from greed,
How short and pathetic is one’s life
When virtue is not one’s creed.
Another by the night’s moon stalk,
How surprised I was at its pale face.
It took me by the arm to walk,
Taking me to a fiery, ashen waste.
Speaking of passion with fires in our way:
Fear of vice being a vice to infest.
The chains of humanity being self-made,
And he left me to wake; sweating from my rest.
I realised with every choice to alter my fate to be;
That two demons had indeed tempted me.
