Hello Dear reader,
I have a small pile of books that I am really excited to get through this year and to review. Of course I have multiple piles of books that I am going to read, but these are the ones that I am genuinely interested in reading for the purpose of reviewing and sharing with people. So, what books are these and what will be up next in my book review list?
Firstly, I am already reading Doctor Sleep by Stephen King, so that will be the first book review of the year. My girlfriend got me The Shining last Christmas, and Doctor sleep which is a sequel this Christmas. So far I am loving it and already have four pages of a review written. I just need to finish the book, so I can finish the review for it to be posted.
What next? I have just received Greg Johnson’s The White Nationalist Manifesto in the post (it arrived today), which I will be reviewing straight after I finish Doctor Sleep. I do quite like Johnson, his writing style (contained on his website: http://www.counter-currents.com – where I have been published; ‘The Schizophrenia of Feminist thinking‘). So, I am looking forward to hearing what he thinks about the ethno-nationalist cause and how it will go forward, as well as reading his arguments for it.
Next I plan on reading National Populism: The revolt against liberal democracy by Eatwell Roger and Matthew Goodwin. I have heard nothing but positive things about this book so I am excited about that too. Alongside that I will be reading Carl Schmitt’s The Concept of the political. Whenever I talk about politics people tell me that I sound like I agree with Schmitt, but I have never read him, this made me curious and thus his book is on my desk waiting to be read.
Another book I am planning to read is Essays on Fascism by Black House Publishing (they publish books like those by Sir Oswald Mosley and Mussolini). The essays are by Sir Oswald Mosley, Benito Mussolini, Giovanni Gentile and Alfredo Rocco. Alongside this I will be reading Hitler’s Mein Kampf in Britain & America: A publishing history 1930-1939 by James J. Barnes & Patience P. Barnes, and also alongside this I will be reading Fascism in Britain: From Oswald Mosley’s Blackshirts to the National Front by Richard Thurlow.
I am also planning to read more Plato this year. I will be rereading The Republic, and also reading his early Socratic dialogues such as: Ion, Laches, Lysis, Charmides, Hippias Major, Hippias Minor, and Euthydemus. Alongside that I will be reading Of water and Spirit: Liturgical study of Baptism by Alexander Schmemann.
So that is my reading list so far for this year. I should be able to get all of those done and more. So look out for them.
That’s all from me, take care and see you around!
All the best, with love and regards,
